Steel Knife Set

A acacia wood knife set built to order in solid acacia in our Saharanpur workshop. 15-piece German steel knife set with full-tang construction and naturally grained Italian olive wood handles for secure grip and refined organic finish; includes wood knife block. Finished in naturally grained olive wood, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 10 x 2 x 1 in (25 x 5 x 3 cm) and weighs about 0.3 kg.
