Acacia Wood Pet Crate/Side Table

A acacia wood pet crate/side table in solid acacia, cut, joined and finished by hand. Solid wood end side table pet dog crate with soft cushion. Finished in natural, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 24 x 18 x 24 in (61 x 46 x 61 cm) and weighs about 18.3 kg.
