Rattan Sideboard

A acacia wood sideboard in solid acacia, cut, joined and finished by hand. Castyn 56" W Rattan Door Sideboard with Adjustable Shelves. Finished in natural, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 60 x 18 x 32 in (152 x 46 x 81 cm) and weighs about 61.2 kg.
