Finished in bronze / distressed, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 24 x 1 x 36 in (61 x 3 x 91 cm) and weighs about 4.4 kg.
