A mango wood rectangular raised accent tray in solid mango wood, made one at a time rather than run off a line. Narrow rectangular mango wood accent tray with sturdy metal handles and raised edge for secure transport; versatile for entryway, ottoman, vanity, or dining use. Finished in natural finish, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 16 x 10 x 2 in (41 x 25 x 5 cm) and weighs about 1.6 kg.
