Mango Wood Table Lamp 3

A mango wood table lamp 3 in solid mango wood, made the way furniture was made before it was flat-packed. Brabazon solid wood tripod lamp. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 12 x 12 x 22 in (30 x 30 x 56 cm) and weighs about 4.8 kg.
