Sheesham Wood Hand-Carved Loveseat 2

A sheesham wood hand-carved loveseat 2 built to order in solid sheesham in our Saharanpur workshop. Isah carved wood traditional loveseat. Finished in walnut, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 120 x 36 x 32 in (305 x 91 x 81 cm) and weighs about 185.8 kg.
