Acacia Wood Nightstand

A acacia wood nightstand in solid acacia, cut, joined and finished by hand. Nightstand crafted from solid acacia wood with live-edge drawer front, butterfly joinery, open shelves, and flared black steel legs. Finished in natural grain, black steel legs, with the grain left where you can see it. Acacia is hard-wearing, with a grain that runs pale gold to deep brown across a single board. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 18 x 16 x 24 in (46 x 41 x 61 cm) and weighs about 14.7 kg.
