Mango Wood Drum Pendant

A mango wood drum pendant in solid mango wood, cut, joined and finished by hand. 1-light wood drum pendant light fixture. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 12 x 12 x 14 in (30 x 30 x 36 cm) and weighs about 3.1 kg.
