A mango wood floor lamp 5 built to order in solid mango wood in our Saharanpur workshop. Herlong Wildside Paper Shade Floor Lamp With Natural Wood Base. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 14 x 14 x 58 in (36 x 36 x 147 cm) and weighs about 17.3 kg.
