A sheesham wood floor lamp 5 built to order in solid sheesham in our Saharanpur workshop. 63" Walnut Wood Offset Arm Floor Lamp with Adjustable Shade, Brass Finish & 3-Color LED Bulb. Finished in walnut, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 14 x 14 x 58 in (36 x 36 x 147 cm) and weighs about 22.9 kg.
