Mango Wood Hand-Carved Accent Table

A mango wood hand-carved accent table built to order in solid mango wood in our Saharanpur workshop. Brown mango wood floral handmade intricately carved side end accent table with turned base. Finished in brown, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 18 x 18 x 24 in (46 x 46 x 61 cm) and weighs about 11.1 kg.
