A mango wood hand-carved king bed frame in solid mango wood, made the way furniture was made before it was flat-packed. RV king bedframe, hand-crafted from mango wood with carved detailing. Finished in honey, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 78 x 84 x 42 in (198 x 213 x 107 cm) and weighs about 167.8 kg.
