Mango Wood Round Pedestal Stand

A mango wood round pedestal stand built to order in solid mango wood in our Saharanpur workshop. Minimalist round pedestal stand with a smooth mango wood surface in a matte black finish, supported by a solid footed base; suited to Contemporary, Casual, Scandinavian, Farmhouse, and French Country interiors as a display platform for candles, cakes, or curated decor. Finished in matte black finish, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 12 x 12 x 24 in (30 x 30 x 61 cm) and weighs about 5.3 kg.
