A mango wood sideboard/buffet 2 in solid mango wood, cut, joined and finished by hand. Mid-century sideboard buffet with brass geometric inlay, metal legs, solid mango wood; three soft-close doors, divided cabinet with three shelves. Finished in natural wood finish, gold brass metal inlay, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 17.5 x 60 x 30 in (44 x 152 x 76 cm) and weighs about 48.0 kg.
