Sheesham Wood Bedside Table 4

A sheesham wood bedside table 4 built to order in solid sheesham in our Saharanpur workshop. Finished in walnut, with the grain left where you can see it. Sheesham is the wood Saharanpur is known for: dense North Indian rosewood, deep brown, and the first choice of our carvers. The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 18 x 16 x 24 in (46 x 41 x 61 cm) and weighs about 16.7 kg.
