The timber is seasoned before a single cut is made, so the piece stays true through Indian summers and monsoons. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 10 x 10 x 14 in (25 x 25 x 36 cm) and weighs about 2.1 kg.
