Mango Wood Round Rectangular Wall Mirror

A mango wood round rectangular wall mirror in solid mango wood, cut, joined and finished by hand. Rectangular wood-framed accent mirror with rounded edges and antiqued rustic finish; unbeveled damp-rated glass. Finished in antiqued rustic finish, with the grain left where you can see it. Mango wood is close-grained and warm in colour, a plantation hardwood that takes a finish evenly. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Boards are picked for grain and strength, then planed, cut and fitted by hand. The finish is built up in thin layers so the grain stays visible rather than buried under paint. It measures 24 x 2 x 36 in (61 x 5 x 91 cm) and weighs about 8.8 kg.
