Teak Wood Wall Mirror

A teak wood wall mirror built to order in solid teak in our Saharanpur workshop. Accent mirror combining solid oak wood and natural rattan frame with beveled glass center; hangs horizontal or vertical. Finished in natural rattan texture, with the grain left where you can see it. Teak carries its own oils, which is why it takes heat, damp and years of use better than anything else we work with. The frame is squared and checked before the finish goes on, and again after. Joints are mortise and tenon, cut and fitted dry before anything is glued. Every surface is sanded through the grades until it is smooth to the hand, not just to the eye. We finish by hand, wiping back between coats, so the surface still feels like wood. It measures 24 x 2 x 36 in (61 x 5 x 91 cm) and weighs about 9.6 kg.
